General surgeons Viet Phuong, MD, FACS and Bindhu Oommen, MD, MPH, FACS are Texas natives who have brought their skills to Hunt Regional. They are both board certified surgeons with the experience and the skills to treat your condition with the best possible outcome.
This highly-skilled team treats a broad range of conditions, including ventral and inguinal hernias, gallbladder, hemorrhoids, colon and skin infections. They also specialize in appendicitis, thyroid, acid reflux, pilonidal disease, chronic venous insufficiency, and varicose veins. They use minimally invasive procedures whenever possible.
Patient education and communication is a top priority. They partner with their patients in their own health care and are available to answer questions in detail. Both surgeons are open and honest with their professional opinion in their diagnosis and treatment options.
Discuss with your primary care doctor to see if a referral to our General Surgeons is a good option for your condition.
Family Nurse Practitioner, Angelia Rose, is specifically trained in the care of non-healing wounds. She works to improve healing rates in chronic wound cases by assessing, treating and creating a plan for continued care. Because complex wounds often need ongoing care, Angelia Rose, FNP is skilled at teaching patients and caregivers how to clean, bandage and monitor wounds, once back at home.
